I got my Brows Laminated!

Microblading? Microshading? Eyebrow Tinting? Threading? Wax? Eyebrow Shaping?

Seriously, the list of things you can do to your brows is NEVER ENDING! I swear every month there’s something new to try and I mean, i’m not hating but sometimes it’s hard to keep up!

I’ve always had fairly sparse brows. I went through a phase back in high school where apparently I thought it was a great idea to almost have no brows… why ? I wish I could tell you but I did. I’ve long since grown them back thanks to an amazing brow lady, castor oil and months of not getting my eyebrows done. My holy grail items consisted of Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow in Medium Brown, NYX Brow pencil in Medium and Essence Clear Brow Gel.

However … My life (well, my brow life) has CHANGED.

A couple of weeks ago I started seeing the Brow Lamination trend pop up all over my IG. To be honest, I did not like it. I didn’t get it or understand it and although I totally get the “feathery” brow trend - I just wasn’t feeling it and thought it was a little much.

What I learned was …

1. Brow lamination makes your brows so nice and full as it “perms” your brows upward in place. Imagine permanent brow gel…but better !

2. You can brush and style your brows ANY way you want! SOOO COOL!! It literally means not having to use brow gel!

3. It lasts 4-8 weeks. Depending on your skin type, how oily your skin is, make up, face wash routine etc. Brow Lamination can last up to 8 weeks! Such a perk considering it helps with beauty maintenance and cuts my morning routine basically in half!
   
   

The brow aesthetician who I booked with (@browlaminationtoronto) was sooo wonderful! The process was so quick and easy, no more than 45 minutes, not to mention she followed all Covid protocols to ensure the safety of e very client.

She has an unreal promotion right now until the end of July, that I just had to take advantage of and if you’re looking to test this new trend out - it would be the perfect time to try it!

Honestly i’m in love and definitely will be going back to do this again!

STYLE INSPO: Girls Night Out (In?)

So, like most of you - I’ve, too, been stuck at home - contemplating life, when will it ever return to normal… etc, etc, etc…

But, till then - we’re on to the good stuff. Here’s a little outfit Inso I put together for you. It’s so cute and flattering and ugh I just love it!! (Now give me an event to wear it to!

Inspired by your classic oversized button up shirt, this outfit makes me feel so sweet, bougie and like a BOSS *ss Btch! LOL

Pair a white oversized dress shirt (this is the part where you steal your dad’s, brother’s, bf’s or almost bf’s dress shirt), you can hit up HnM or even Walmart for one of these if you’d like a baggier fit and pop on a belt.

Honestly, you can put any belt on this beauty! Keep it thin and brown/black for a simple stylistic look, add a pop of neon for some personality ;) or kick it up a notch and add a thicker belt to really cinch up that waist. The beauty of this fit is that it creates the illusion and accentuates your waist giving you a kicked up glam situation. I opted for the a belt bag so that I could also carry my cards, keys, phone and other necessities with me without having to carry a large bag!

The final touch, a pair of nude, PVC/ clear heels. I love that nude clear heels make your legs look a mile longer than they are! I paired my outfit with these clear double strap 4inch thicker heels that make me feel so beautiful and tall, without the pain of being in a stiletto heels all day. These are perfect cabana/patio heels!

Summer Swimsuit Faves

Summer is finally here!

You know what that means? Besides the obvious mimosas and tans… it’s swimsuit season!

It’s been a HOT MINUTE since I’ve gone out and bought swimsuits for myself. Truthfully, for many years i’ve actually tried to avoid having to wear one as often as I could because I just didn’t feel good in them. This year I decided that enough was enough and I was going to buy the cutest swimsuits and wear them as often (at the beach) as I could solely because I CAN!

So.. that’s exactly what I did. I hopped on over to SHEIN - a website from overseas that is so ridiculously cheap I could not just pick up one suit!

The top 3 things that attracted me to SHEIN:

1. THE PRICE - I mean you really cannot go wrong with a full 2 piece swimsuit for under $20.00 (Canadian). Even if the suit sucked, well at least you didn’t spend $100 on just the top or just the bottom of the suit.

2. THE VARIETY - There are SOOO many swimsuits to choose from! The variety in styles and the colours are EVERYTHING! From your classic triangle bikini, the ruched style, bandeau style, one-piece suits and so much more! There are five million styles to choose from you’ll be scrolling all day ! (Luckily they’re so cheap if you really wanted to you could grab them all! haha)

3. THE FILTERS - I love the fact that there are so many search filters to. From sizes, to colours, to styles, to just tops, just bottoms or two piece/3 pieces. There is just so much and it makes it that much more fun to scroll through!

That being said… Here are the one’s I’ve picked up! I must say that I love them ALL AND I am so pleasantly surprised with the material of them all. Literally obsessed !!

1.Cut Out High Waisted Bikini Swimsuit - Royal Blue ($20.00) | Medium

This cute little suit has a cut out detail in the front.

Perfect for a party of cabana day, however may be a little much if you’re actually trying to go swimming. Regardless such a stunning addition to your collection.

2. Self-Tie Plunging One Piece Swimsuit - Red ($20.00) | Medium 

I am OBSESSED with this piece. The PERFECT Baywatch -inspired swimsuit with a twist. I love the adjustable self-tie detail, that allows me to cinch my waist and accentuate my figure. LOVEE!! 10/10 for me!

3. Ruched Lettuce Trim Bandeau Bikini Swimsuit - Blue ($18.00) | Medium 

The ruched, lettuce trim detail makes this suit so sweet and elegant yet still has a hint of sexy for the perfect day at the beach. This is by far one of my favourites!

4. Triangle High Leg Bikini Swimsuit - Burgundy ($18.00) | Medium

Burgundy is my middle name! I love this bikini top. It reminds me of the Farago swimsuits and is the perfect dupe. I do feel these run a bit smaller, however, it’s still so cute and flattering on the body.

5. Lace-up Bandeau With High Leg Bikini Set - Lilac Purple ($16.00) | Medium 

Need a swimsuit for a family gathering? I think we found a winner! This suit provides the perfect amount of coverage around the chest area and the bottoms. The tie detail adds the smallest hint of femininity that elevates this classic bandeau swimsuit.

6. Neon Pink Triangle Tanga Bikini Swimsuit - Pink Bright ($16.00) | Medium

This one is so spicy, I can’t even!

The bright pink is the perfect compliment to that summer tan and glow you have going on.

7. Marble Pattern Bandeau High Cut Bikini Swimsuit - ($16.00) | Medium

Bandeau with a flare!

I love the criss-cross detail that comes with this suit and the marble fabric. It’s such a classic state needed in every closet !

8. 3pack Rib Tie Front Co-ord Bikini Set - Dusty Pink ($24.00) | Medium

OKAY I LOVE THIS!

I absolutely love the fact that it comes wit ha matching set of shorts. perfect for hitting the cabana, grabbing a bite, playing beach volleyball and more! Also love the sweet dusty rose colour that is so soft yet elegant and classic.

9. Ruched Bandeau Tie Side Bikini Swimsuit - Watermelon Pink ($17.00) | Medium

Much like the blue ruched, lettuce-trim top above this is so cute and perfect with that summer tan you’ll have. Also love the Brazilian style bottoms to amp up this piece.

Everyone needs a pink swimsuit in their closet !

For some time now i’ve been going back and forth about starting this whole “blogging” journey. Probably overthinking it way too much - as I usually do. And to be quiet honest - it wouldn’t be the first time I try this out.

However I think i’m finally in a place where I just want to share what I know. Share what I do. Most importantly - create a community based on all of that.

So welcome to my blog - a space where you will find beauty tips and hacks, as well as my favourite products and reviews, lifestyle lessons and hacks (let me discover them before I share them with you - or perhaps i’ll just share my complete fails with you!), fashion tips, recreations and hauls - I love shopping and it’s time I finally let out my personal style and of course most importantly, my passion for dance.

I welcome you into my daily learnings and life in hopes that you will take something away, even if it’s just a good laugh at my outrageous attempts (i’m not a daredevil or anything but I guess this will encourage me to step out of my comfort zone), and to share any experiences you may relate to or have.
